OUR HISTORY
From boat construction to restoration
Cantiere Valdettaro was founded way back in 1917 in Portovenere. Born as a commercial construction site, after the war it moved towards pleasure boating, launching high quality wooden yachts such as Athena and Armelea.
In a short time it reached the world’s top levels in the restoration of large yachts. It brought back to life boats like Eisenhower’s Williamsburg, Marshal Tito’s Istranka, the King of Spain’s Orion, the Pacha III of Stefano Casiraghi and Carolina di Monaco and the Shabab Oman.
Over the years the shipyard has renewed itself while maintaining a strong connection with the past and the territory, specializing in the restoration and refitting of both modern design and vintage boats.

Marina del Fezzano
Cantiere Valdettaro is located nearby Marina del Fezzano, a tourist harbour that allows you to experience and discover the sea for twelve months of the year thanks to the proverbially mild climate of the Ligurian coast.
Marina del Fezzano, owned by VALDETTARO GROUP, has 250 berths for boats up to 25 meters and high quality services. Thanks to the collaboration with the Valdettaro Shipyard, it offers yachtsmen specialized labor to carry out any type of boat maintenance, both ordinary and extraordinary.
A highly specialized Nautical Centre
VALDETTARO Le Grazie is one of the three VALDETTARO GROUP facilities in the upper Tyrrhenian Sea, next to VALDETTARO La Spezia and VALDETTARO Olbia. The Nautical Center made up of these three shipyards with different structures and specializations, ensures prompt assistance to our customers for any type of intervention and on any type of vessel.
